This exhibit considers the relationship
between the human and the natural worlds. It explores the many ways artists are thinking about, and responding to, nature, from close observation to narrative and metaphor, from work that looks at the threats of climate change and mass extinction to art that is personal and intimate. Our goal is to showcase a wide range of ideas, media, and emotions, serving to evoke the complex and layered connections between us and our world.

Trina Turturici
Trina Turturici (b.1986, San Jose, CA) is a Los Angeles based artist working in drawing, painting, and sculpture. Turturici received her BFA in Drawing and Painting from California State University Long Beach in 2010 and her MFA in Painting from Boston University in 2013. Her work has been exhibited at the Torrance Art Museum, Claremont Graduate University, Ladies’ Room, Central Park Gallery, New Image Art Gallery, Arvia, and Gallery ALSO. Lately, she’s been focusing on making autobiographical drawings relating to the pandemic and social justice issues.
